Minerals for more energy
A simple way to gain access to more energy is to add easily absorbable minerals. You get both a quick effect and a long-term effect if you take the minerals regularly. Especially magnesium* and potassium are important for recovery. Sodium is also important if you have been stressed for a long time or exercise a lot.
These products can help balance mineral levels in the body:
- Adrenal Cocktail . A real "pick-me-up" for the adrenal glands. Contains potassium, sodium from pure salt along with natural vitamin C needed for immune defense and recovery. Try instead of coffee in the afternoon and feel that it was minerals you really needed!
- Smidge Morning Magnesium is a combination of several types of easily absorbable magnesium that helps you get energy in the morning and in the middle of the day.
- Smidge Evening Magnesium or consists of magnesium bound to glycine, which calms the nervous system before bed or whenever you need to unwind. Magnesium also helps the nerves regulate an excess of calcium that we all get from the electromagnetic radiation that surrounds most of us around the clock. MagSoothe is a similar product that also provides potassium and sodium for recovery.
- Aussie Trace Minerals . Minerals work together. If we lack a mineral, it does not always help to add only it, all interacting substances are needed. Please read the article here.
- Ancient Minerals' various oils, bath salts and lotions deliver magnesium directly to the tissue via the skin. Large doses of magnesium supplements can cause sensitive stomachs to react. Applying magnesium to the skin is a shortcut to saturating the tissues with magnesium. It bases the muscles both before and after exercise or if you have pain, fibromyalgia or inflammation. Try a magnesium bath or foot bath to unwind or relieve aching muscles and joints.
- The thyroid gland also regulates the energy in the body. Iodine is a necessary trace element for both the thyroid and adrenal glands to function. Pure seaweed contains readily absorbable iodine. (NOTE. If you have an overactive thyroid gland, consult your doctor first).
Other nutrition that interacts with the minerals
B vitamins cooperate with magnesium and are needed in all kinds of stress. B vitamins, including vitamin B6, are found in e.g. offal and organ supplements as well as in bee pollen. You will find them in these products .
The adrenal glands store vitamin C, which helps our immune cells fight infections. The body handles natural vitamin C better than synthetic. The berry Camu Camu contains a high concentration of vitamin C.
Rose hips, which grow everywhere in the country, are also a good source of natural vitamin C.
Sleep hormone and important anti-oxidant
Melatonin is required for us to get restorative sleep. It is also one of our strongest natural defenses against various forms of cancer and harmful radiation. The feel-good hormone serotonin is formed from melatonin. Too little serotonin can give us more pain and make us depressed and tired. Sufficient serotonin is also required for adrenal hormone to dock into the cells. All of this requires vitamin B, especially B6.
The fatty acid DHA is required for melatonin and serotonin synthesis. DHA is found in marine fish, shellfish, eggs, meat and organs from grass-fed animals. Rosita's fish liver oil is a clean and good source of i.a. fatty acids.
