VITAMINS

Vitamins — A, B, C, D, E and K from wholefood sources

Vitamins are organic compounds the body needs in small amounts to function. At Naturshopen, we prioritize wholefood sources: Camu Camu and Kakadu plum for C, grass-fed liver for A and K, raw cold-pressed cod liver oil for D, Ecological Formulas allithiamine for B1, and complete Life Extension gamma E for vitamin E.

What are vitamins?

13 essential organic compounds — four fat-soluble (A, D, E, K) and nine water-soluble (eight B vitamins plus C). They act as cofactors in enzyme reactions that the body cannot perform without them.

How much per day?

EFSA and the Swedish Food Agency have daily reference values for each vitamin. Wholefood multivitamins or targeted individual supplements are two strategies — we carry both so you can choose according to your needs.

Wholefood or synthetic?

Wholefood vitamins always come with synergistic cofactors — bioflavonoids with C, copper cofactors with C, K2 MK-4 with A in liver. Synthetic isolates are cheap and high-dosed but lack the complete picture.

How we select vitamins

Wholefood sources when possible, active forms (methyl-B12, folinic acid, P-5-P, K2 MK-4 from liver), complete complexes and a clean ingredient list without unnecessary fillers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does everyone need a multivitamin?

With a varied wholefood diet, most people meet their daily needs. A multivitamin is an insurance policy during stress, restrictive diets, or in mineral-deficient agriculture.

Which vitamins can I not get in Sweden?

Vitamin D from the sun during winter is practically impossible. Selenium is often low in Swedish soil. B12 is missing in vegan diets.

Fat-soluble vitamins with or without food?

Take A, D, E and K with a meal containing fat for best absorption.
