Matcha Tea — Organic Ceremonial Matcha from Japan

Matcha is a finely ground green tea from shade-grown tea bushes in Japan. The entire leaf dissolves in the water — you drink the whole leaf, not just an extract. The result is a high concentration of L-theanine, chlorophyll, catechins, and a slower, more even caffeine curve than coffee.

Which matcha products do we sell?

What makes Moya special?

JAS-organic matcha from the Uji region — the heart of matcha culture for 800 years. The tea bushes are shaded for three weeks before harvest, which increases L-theanine and chlorophyll. Ground in traditional stone mills (approximately 30 g per hour per mill), which gives it the characteristic vibrant green color and umami flavor. Everything is imported directly from the producer — a short supply chain.

Frequently Asked Questions

Premium or Daily?

Premium has a milder and sweeter taste — for pure drinks with water. Daily is more robust and suitable for lattes, smoothies, or baking.

How much caffeine?

One serving (1 tsp Premium) provides approximately 30–70 mg of caffeine — less than coffee, but combined with L-theanine, it provides more even energy.

Do I need a bamboo whisk?

For traditional preparation, yes. The whisk emulsifies the powder with water in a way a spoon cannot.
